Democratic Party of Wheatland Township Re-Launches Website

The Democratic Party of Wheatland Township has re-launched its website aimed at educating local residents about issues of the day, recruiting candidates for public office, and promoting a two-party system locally.

"We believe residents of Wheatland Township deserve a real choice when they go into the voting booth," said Nick Palmer, Chair of the Democratic Party of Wheatland Township.  "For too long voters have not had a real choice when they are choosing their public officials.  We want to provide our communities with those choices."

The Democratic Party of Wheatland Township was officially started during the 2004 election cycle when hotly contested races for US Senate, Will County Executive, and Will County State's Attorney were ongoing.  Since the birth of the organization, numerous local residents in Aurora, Bolingbrook, Naperville, and Plainfield have volunteered their time and energy towards the goal of building a strong and vibrant organization.

"We are fortunate to have talented people from all walks of life who bring diverse experiences and ideas to our group," said Palmer.  "Our website is an example of how talented people can contribute their skills to our cause."

The Democratic Party of Wheatland Township meets the last Monday of each month at the Naperville Public Library on 95th street.  For more information, please contact us at Members@WheatlandDemocrats.org or 773-368-5091.
