Message from our Party Chairman

Dear Friends:

The Democratic Party of Wheatland Township has made great strides in the past few years.  On Saturday, August 2nd we will take another huge step forward with our 2008 "Building Our Future" Award Fundraiser.  This event allows our organzation the opportunity to honor one of our great leaders.  The 2008 recipient is US Senator Dick Durbin.  Our 2007 Building Our Future winner, Illinois State Treasurer Alexi Giannoulias, will be on hand to be our special co-host as we honor Sen. Durbin for all his great work in Illinois and in Washington.

The funds we raise at this event, and throughout the remainder of this year, are critical to our organization as we support our candidates who are in close races.  If you cannot make this event, please consider donating online here on our website or sending us a check to the PO Box.  All of the funds we raise from local people are spent locally.  It does not go to Washington or Springfield.  These local funds are spent locally to help build YOUR local Democratic Party.

Please enjoy your visit and feel free to contact me with comments, suggestions, or questions.

Sincerely,

Nick Palmer
Chairman -- Democratic Party of Wheatland Township
