Message from our Party Chairman

Dear Friends:

On behalf of the Democratic Party of Wheatland Township organziation, I would like to thank all who who worked so hard this year to elect our great Democratic candidates.  One of our first goals has been to offer local residents a choice when you go to vote.  This year we are proud to say that every race on your local ballot is contested.  Ultimately, we hope this leads to better governing because no elected official should take their job for granted.

Along with electing a new DEMOCRATIC President, we re-elected our great US Senator Dick Durbin, reelected State Senator Linda Holmes, reelected our four countywide officials, elected two new countywide official (Recorder & Auditor) and for te first time in recent history elected our FIRST WILL COUNTY BOARD MEMBER -- Jackie Traynere.  We would not have achieved all these great victories without the support of so many of our local residents.  Thanks for believing in our group and making real change from the White House to the County Court House!!

Please stay involved and make a difference, Click here to learn how.

Please enjoy your visit and feel free to contact me with comments, suggestions, or questions.

Sincerely,

Nick Palmer

The economic news, in case you haven’t noticed, keeps getting worse. Bad as it is, however, I don’t expect another Great Depression. In fact, we probably won’t see the unemployment rate match its post-Depression peak of 10.7 percent, reached in 1982...
